My artistic journey and inspirations
I've always been artistic, growing up watching my mom explore many different crafts, from pottery and stained glass to painting, working with wicker, and looms. She was a very big inspiration. When COVID-19 hit, I finally had the time to truly start playing with paint and alcohol inks. The diversity of these mediums brings absolute joy, and I am always learning something new.
I'm a mixed media artist currently based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I grew up in New Zealand, and my work is influenced by my surroundings. I primarily work with alcohol inks, custom tumbler art, and fluid abstract techniques, I create vibrant, expressive pieces that blend movement, texture, and individuality. My art is driven by emotion, storytelling, and a love of creating one-of-a-kind designs that feel both personal and alive. Drawing inspiration from nature, mythology, and human connection, each piece reflects a balance of intensity and fluidity - combining bold colour, organic forms, and handcrafted detail. Through my work, I aim to create art that sparks feeling, curiosity, and connection. Now creating and exhibiting in Calgary, I continue to expand my artistic practice while sharing my passion for handcrafted art with collectors and local markets throughout Calgary.
